Jennifer Carpenter Bio

American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter is a December 7, 1979, native. She is well-known for her portrayal of Debra Morgan on Showtime's Dexter. She also won a Saturn Award for that show in 2009. Also she is famous for her role in Limitless, which featured Rebecca Harris. In the year 2019, she began as Erica Shepherd (the lead role in the NBC drama The Enemy Within). Carpenter was first acknowledged for her role in the role of Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Carpenter was awarded the 2006 MTV Movie Award, for "Best Frightened Performer" and a Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award. She was also awarded the title of "Breakout performer" at 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They got married in California on New Year's Day 2008. In December 2010, Hall and Carpenter released an announcement that they had filed for divorce after being separated "for some time".The divorce was finalized in December 2011 for irreconcilable differences; however, the two remain very close friends. Carpenter and Seth Avett became engaged on February 10 in 2015. It was revealed in August 2015 that Carpenter gave the birth of a baby boy in May of 2015. Carpenter also admitted she was eight and a half months pregnant at the time of filming Limitless the pilot episode. Carpenter and Avett got married in May of 2016.

Kajlich has starred in supporting and starring roles in film and television as Jennifer, for instance on CBS' Rules of Engagement (2007-2013).
