Kari Matchett Biography

 Kari Mixett is an Canadian actress best known for her roles on films such as Apartment Hunting, â€Men with Brooms, and ’The Tree of Life. She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and then relocated to Alberta, Canada where she completed her high school. As a teenager, she became attracted to acting. To further train in acting, she attended the  National Theatre School located in Montreal and then attended the 'Moscow Theatre School.' In 1996 she was a support role in the Canadian series titled "The Rez." She was also featured in shows such as "Ready or Not" and "Forever Knight". In the late 1990s she made her film film debut in the film called Papertrail'. She later appeared in films such as"Men with Brooms" or 'Cypher. In addition, she was a supporting character in television series' like 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and 'Blue Murder.' Even though she was still appearing in films during the decade of 2000 and beyond, her appearances on screen were less than her television appearances. She was also the main actress in 1998's Canadian drama series called 'Power Play. The show was on for two seasons and 26 episodes and was highly praised by critics as well as advertisers. For her part in the series she was nominated for the Gemini Award. Jude Lyon Matchett, her son was born to her in June 2013. However, she did not reveal the father's name. According to some sources the father of her boy is her former boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke in the mid-1990s and the couple began dating and were married in 1998. The wedding was a disaster and the couple broke up in 2006.
