Maureen O'Hara Biography

 Maureen O'Hara was a renowned American performer and actress who was of Irish origin. The fiery, passionate role she played in numerous American films was what attracted attention to the beautiful green eyed beauty. Her natural beauty and glamorous appearance was highly praised and she was widely regarded as the "Queen of Technicolor in Hollywood. Her portrayals onscreen were a reflection of her strong, brave spirit. She fought for recognition and survival within a male-dominated society. She was known as "the tough Irish girl", and she would not give up her respect for others to be able to play the roles she was entitled to due to merit. In all her years in the film industry she stood up against injustice and improper treatment of women actors. Because of this, she earned lots of admirers. Her autobiography, "Tis herself", published in 2004 gave an open review of her experience, as well as her struggles in her climb to success. She was an adventurous person who wasn't afraid of making her own mistakes. In the course of her career, she starred in more than 60 films and earned a lot of popularity throughout the world. Moving on from Parra She remarried in the year 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a brigadier in the past, former chief pilot, and an early pioneer in transatlantic air travel, to mention several accomplishments. She finally retired after couple of years of marriage. Her happiness was short-lived when Blair passed away in a tragic plane crash in 1978. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the same year. She underwent surgery immediately. She was capable of recovering. The health of her declined throughout her life and she was diagnosed with six heart attacks as well as short-term memory loss and diabetes mellitus type 2. O'Hara who was 95 years old, quietly passed away in Boise on the 24th of October, 2015.
