Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actor and a singer from Canada. Her most well-known work is her role on the American television series Law & Order, on which she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan, on which she played the lead character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she wrote and directed). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father, was a meat and marketing sales/marketing executive. The job required significant travel , which meant the family moved frequently. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mother and secretary, passed away in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) took part in raising her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother and Jacqueline, a twin sister. Jacqueline is a journalist and host on the Canadian television program. Hennessy is of Irish and French, Swedish, Italian, and Swedish heritage from her father, and most of her Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy along with her sister and her first role on stage was as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, stated that she was shortlisted in The X-Files for Dana Scully's part. Hennessy also played the character of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993 Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to the role as Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney in the show Law & Order. She played this role for three seasons before leaving the show as an actor in 1996.
