Emily Swallow

 Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actress. Her appearances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most famous. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on the 18th of December, 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family was raised in Sterling, Virginia, as and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow started acting in Stanton College Preparatory School. She also performed in professional and amateur theater productions. Swallow received a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies to earn an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was a star in the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also starred opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins’ production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. The actress won the Falstaff Award for best Female Performer in 2010 for her role as Kate in the play The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised their own stage show, Jac N Swallow, which they performed in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show revolves around the hilarious mishaps of Jac Huberman and Swallow when they confront a variety of challenges in their lives with various degrees of success.
