Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress. She was the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010 she was the lead character Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! She was then on the show as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012 to 2014, for which she received an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson played her character in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since 2017, Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, and restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. When she was born her family relocated to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She strongly feels linked to her Greek family, and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting at the age of junior high school. She also was a student at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting, and within a couple of weeks, she had her first television appearance which was a small part in Supernatural. She continued to appear on television, with walk-on roles in Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was part of the TV movie Goblin and the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She was also a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean as the werewolf. In 2009, the actress won her first starring part in Majority Rules! Canada, in which she played 15-year-old Becky Richards. In 2011 she made her feature film debut with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also directed Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller directed by Michael Greenspan. It starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy, and was directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos made an appearance as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. The character of Charlotte Matheson who is a survivor living in a dystopian future civilisation, was her leading role in the NBC television show Revolution. She was auditioning while watching her pilot in Los Angeles. Spiridakos made the pilot film in Atlanta and shot the pilot in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance in the initial season but was beaten out by Fringe's Anna Torv. Production relocated to Austin, Texas for the second season.
