Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actresswho is known for her roles on daytime television, episodic guest appearances and made-for-television films. Sofer was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award by CBS in 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo, the role she played on the soap opera General Hospital. She has been portraying Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS The Bold and the Beautiful, a soap production The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi. Her family later moved to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer then relocated together with her father David Sofer, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They resided in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father ran the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Then, she went to the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi at Temple Beth El. She completed her studies at North Bergen High School, and then went to Montclair State College. Sofer was the first to portray Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. In 1993, she was a band manager. Her first role on television was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap opera host. Her most famous role is her character on General Hospital as Lois Cerullo (December 15, 1993 - September 24 1996). In the following years, she was an actor on the show (February 7-17, 1997 between September 30th and October 2, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for her portrayal of Lois. Sofer joined CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The premiere episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has appeared as a guest cast member or guest star in a range of popular prime-time TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She also appeared on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The show's first episode aired July 12.
