Zooey Deschanel

  

Zooey Claire Deschanel (born on 17th January, 1980) was an American model, actress and musician. In 1999, Mumford was her first film. She also played the role of a supporting character in Cameron Crowe’s film Almost Famous (2000). Deschanel is known for her deadpan characters in comedy films such as The Good Girl (2002), The New Guy (2002), Elf (2003), The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005), Failure to Launch (2006), Yes Man (2008), 500 Days of Summer (2009) and Our Idiot Brother (2011). She has also explored dramatic film territory, with Manic (2001), All the Real Girls (2006), Winter Passing 2005, Bridge to Terabithia (2008), The Happening (2008) and The Driftless Area (2015). Jessica Day was the main character on the sitcom Fox's New Girl between 2011 and in the year. The show was awarded three Golden Globe Awards nominations, along with Primetime Emmy Awards nominations. Deschanel was a part of the jazz group If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies for a couple of years, beginning in 2001. Deschanel joined forces with M. Ward in 2006 and released their debut album called Volume One. The duo have recorded five albums since then including Volume Two (2010) and A Very She & Him Christmas (2011). Volume 3 (2013) was their last album. Classics 2014 was their fifth album.
